Updated Blogging Note: promises must be honored

My wife has reminded me of a promise I made to her a few weeks ago when I was a bit more lucid and she was not feeling well:

I must focus more on our lives, our finite time together, and our shared “bucket list.”  Therefore, I must limit the amount of time I spend on this blog.

So, honoring my promise to my loving and patient wife, Informal Inquiries will become a less time-consuming enterprise. I will post less often, but at least once or twice a week, and I will get on with the much more important and urgent business of achieving some of the goals on our “bucket list.”

And so it goes.

Finally, I share this:

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

  1. honeydos are high on my list, also... i'll miss your commentary, but life charges along, regardless... what ever you do, have fun!

  2. Good luck and I enjoyed your posts. My wife likes my Blog as it gives me something to do besides annoying her

  3. Best of luck. I have enjoyed your various blogs.

  4. Sorry to hear that you are going. I for one find your blog well worth it. I do understand the need for more time however. Good luck Tim!

  5. Thank you, friends. Please see that I have revised my doom and gloom blogging note, and (reaching an agreement with my wife) I will not delete the blog but will continue blogging with a reduced schedule. I hope this revised game plan works well at Casa Davis, and I hope you will continue your visits and comments. I make no promises about future content, but I will try to stick to the minimum of once a week postings. So, friends, please stay tuned.
